Since we moved here 3+ years ago, we have relied on Boston Pizza for a familiar meal. Unfortunately, it seems like this and other locations are staffed by younger people. While they work hard, it seems that the meals are rushed out of the kitchen so they don't seem to have the flavour which we had become accustomed to. We had lunch on a Sunday afternoon with our friends who have a 4-year old. It's a kid-friendly restaurant so it was great for him. The meals were okay overall but ended up being quite expensive for lunch. The pizza dough needs some salt as it is fairly tasteless, saved only by the toppings and cheese. The service was okay, not too attentive (we were left alone for long periods of time between courses although it wasn't all that busy there). The Caesar salad was not green. I posted a comment on their web form that I could buy greener romaine lettuce at the grocery store across the street and received a prompt response and an e-mail for a free appetizer but we haven't been able to use it within its time limit. Nice gesture on their part though. I won't attend as often as we used to in the past. I do note that the recent update to their menu looks favourable.
Quite frankly it's always been awful. Most of the food always came out cold or just tasted disgusting. Today I went for appies with a friend because we wanted something cheap and fast. There was maybe 5 other groups in this pretty large restaurant and it took us an hour to get burgers. The bites they tasted like they had been under a heat lamp for the whole hour, and it looked like they had just cut up 3 moderately sized lumps and covered them in sauce - for 16 dollars! The fries were the same way, tasted sub par and there wasn't much of them. Awful, as usual unfortunately. Not very hip looking staff.
My fiance and I visited this location this afternoon. We had been to this location before on a Saturday evening last summer for an attempt at dinner, but with a forty five minute wait, we decided to vacate and try our luck for dinner out at another location. This time I figured why not try for lunch. We were seated right away, probably because the place was less than half full. Apparently lunch out and a matinee movie at the nearby movie theatre is not to appetizing for whatever reason. Our server, Heather R, brought our drinks and food quickly after ordering. We didn't have to wait over ten minutes to begin eating. I ordered a Meateor pizza with your average Pepsi to wash it down. Yvonne ordered the Pollo Pomodoro Linguini and washed it down her trademark "Glass of Water." The pizza was perfectly cooked with lots of meat (e.g. smoked ham, pepporoni, lean ground beef, etc.) and Yvonne said her dish was "OK" (i.e. satisfactory).
Young female server was not friendly; did not offer to bring cheese or other condiments for the pasta once food arrived; no check up to see if our meals were okay; onlys saw her again to process our bill; pasta was boring! I won't be back.
okay first of all im italian so i dont really know why i let my friends convince to coming here. We were sitting at one of the only seats where you could visibly see the kitchen. I have never seen such disregard for food in my entire life. They had bowls of pasta that barely fit it the plates, and when the spaghetti fell out the waiters would just put it back in with their hands! after it landed on the surface of a counter!@ OH, And of course the food was rancid. I dont know who decided they were going to call a plate of pre-packaged garbage sicilian, should be up for trial overseas!
