I like this place, though I wish there were more vegetarian options in the menu (in fact, they're shrinking: the portobello mushroom burger has disappeared!). That said, the servers are very pleasant, helpful, and energetic, the place is nice, with a few different atmospheres available (the pub, the restaurant, the patio), and the food is mostly very good. The veggie curry, at $10, is a good deal, though the curry spicing is better some days than others; beware the green salad, which is nothing but greens — other salads are better, and the dips are nice. Nice selection of beers, by the way. They often have some great live music, and then there's the jar of jellybeans on your way out.... Read more

st veronus still has wonderful tasty food. I especially love the stoemp. BUT they no longer have a lunch menu- which means having lunch here is now much more expensive than it used to be (ie. the stew used to be $11 for lunch, now its $18 off the generic menu). because of this- I likely will only come here for dinner now as Peterborough has lots of other reasonably priced lunch options. Even if you are not into sushi, it is worth a trip to Kakemono! My boyfriend LOVES sushi and although I don't mind it, it is not my favourite meal in the world. However, I love Teriyaki and the Teriyaki dishes on Kakemono's all you can eat menu are wonderful. The prices are reasonable when compared to the price you may for most all-you-can-eat places and the food was great. We will be going back in the near future! Read more
