I've been going to Star nails for just under a year now. They've made me bleed and each time my nails feel like they are on fire for the day.The quality they have sent me home with is completely inexcusable and I am very unimpressed. I went to a new nail salon after countless times of giving star nails one more chance and was told they have been putting on acrylic and charging me for gel. My last fill they sent me home looking worse than I came in. Linda is the only one with attention to detail.
Terrible. I went to get gel nails, and got cheap arcylic powder with a cheap drug store uv gel coating (China Glaze). I am now in pain with burning finger nails. To clean the files he placed it in what appears to be rubbing alcohol, he then used a dirty brush to dry off the "sanitzed" file. As well the tinyest gems you can get are 2 for a dollar; two tiny tiny gems for an extra dollar, they also don't include gst in their prices like many other places. So a gel nail set that was original 50 dollars ended up being 63 dollars plus a tip option.
They may be convient but are not worth the money, false gel nails, and pain from cheap arcylic powder.
