Patrick Haggart is a third generation barber, so when he started working in the field he found that he really enjoyed it. He began learning his trade by working for his father. As with any trade, it takes time to master the skills, but eventually he became fully adept with comb and clipper so he decided it was time to strike out on his own.
In 2014 Patrick opened La Tête Dure on Duluth Avenue. It’s a small shop, but the location gives him high visibility and after just six months he was so busy that he had to call on his uncle Claude, who is also a barber, to join him. There are only two chairs in La Tête Dure, and you can tell which one belongs to who by the “Oncle” and “Nevue” signs posted on the wall above their respective work stations.
These guys are great! Friendly, helpful, knowledgeable. An old style Barber shop, waits are usually not too long, and I'm always super pleased with the haircut. The only place I'll get my haircut, anymore.
