Michèle Brosseau was born in Montreal where she studied art and completed a BA in painting. As a young woman, she was a member of an artists' cooperative and had the desire to open a shop that sold accessories and women's clothing. So in 1985, she and another member of the co-op opened Fêt'Art. "When I was younger, I used to make clothes. I've always been in love with fashion," recalls Michèle. That said, she also likes to paint. Some of her paintings can be seen gracing the walls of the store.
Since 2000, Michèle has been the sole owner of Fêt'Art, now located on Mont-Royal Avenue. Although she takes care of the administrative side of the business, it doesn't stop her from working on the floor serving clients alongside her employees, who are just as enamoured with art and the latest fashions as she is. "I love dressing women, finding them something different," says Michèle. "I love it when they tell me that they've had compliments, or simply that they love wearing the clothes we've suggested to them!"
