It was 1999 and Robert Gervais was running Rightime Productions Inc., the film and television production company he launched after graduating with an MBA from the John Molson School of Business. But behind the scenes, the technical side of the business was proving to be a challenge.
To get from storyboard to finished production, Robert and his team depended on digital technology and tech support from other companies. Snafus were commonplace and finger-pointing recurrent among the many groups and individuals involved. Getting things on track was a struggle.
Robert sensed that an opportunity was lurking. He began offering IT services to television networks, providing the very first-rate tech support he’d been wishing for months earlier. Robert’s client list quickly grew, leading him to add IT infrastructure to his service lineup. In 2000, he teamed up with his cousin, Nicolas Rainville, an entrepreneur with a technical background to launch ZEROFAIL. Its aim? Provide IT services that never fail.
