DONT SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS. We were asked to leave the store when the owner assumed we “Weren’t going to buy anything”, and that we need to leave to accomodate for “actual” customers. There was no reason he should have assumed that. We were respectful, quiet, and followed all the rules. I was so shocked to say anything so we just left. That day, we both stayed away from entering similar stores in fear of differential treatment.

The owners at Toy Terminal are so helpful and so nice. I was looking for a shopping cart which they did not have but they gladly ordered it for me and It came the following weekend. I shop at toy terminal weekly and I will always stop here first before any other toy shop.

Twice the price of Amazon and does not take defective product back. We complained within hours of buying and store refused to take toy back, telling us to complain to manufacturer. Amazon is half price and will take defective products back. Worst purchase in in long time. And insult added when we complained..

The people who run this toy store have an unusual, personal and intelligent approach to toys, children and their parents. Their selection of toys indicates that children are Not under-estimated in their likes and dislikes of toys, so common on this continent of disposability. The owner is open to talking about toys in some larger aspects of the business. Also, nice to be recognised in a store where I often buy gifts for my grandchildren is not always true on Queen St West...

When I called to ...

When I called to ask if the store carried a particular toy, the attendant quickly told me that they don't carry it, and then hung the phone up on me before I could even say 'thank you for time'. Poor customer service.

Impressed Professional

As a children's mental health professional in the city of Toronto, I am frequently searching out new stores and websites that carry toys and materials that I can incorporate in my therapy. What I found at Toy Terminal was not only a high quality toy store with tons of selection, but I found thoughtful, educational, and creative toys, as well. I found the staff to be incredibly helpful in my search for items and they provided suggestions of new products that were similar to what I was looking for. The customer service was also impressive, as the staff made a specific order for a toy I was looking for, and even provided me free samples of a new product to try with the children I work with! I love toy stores, but I love even more a toy store that appreciates the importance of children and the central role play is in their health and development. I will definitely be returning to this store and encourage others to do the same!

Great Store

This is an excellent toy store. They have a large selection for all ages of kids - and adults! It seems to be run by the owners who are very kind and helpful.

Great Educational Toys

It is a great toy store in area that sells the variety of quality educational toys with very fair price. I always can find toys that helps my students to learn while they have fun. On top helpful, friendly and very nice staff.

Good selection of toys, but we went to this store because of the great ratings and so that we could check some of the toys out before deciding which one to buy. They have absolutely no toys on display (except for the stuffed animals), so all we could do is check out the boxes. Staff was very unfriendly and not helpful at all. When I asked something about one toy and how that compares to the other ones they have, the woman recommended I read the back of the packaging... hm... thanks. Finally, they have a no return and no refund policy! No point in going there, really. Could have ordered online and it would have been cheaper too.

I just discovered...

I just discovered this store today. I was attending a meeting nearby and a colleague told me that it was the best toy store she had ever been in. I was skeptical, but thought I would check it out. As a parent and an educator I was extremely impressed with the selection of high-quality toys, from Hape and Plan toys to an extensive selection of Lego and Meccano. There were also unique craft and art activities/kits. And the games! An unparalleled selection! The store is bright and spacious, and the owner encouraged me to take my time and walk around. I asked lots of questions… This man knows his toys! I saw many hard-to-find items that previously I would have ordered online (and paid shipping and/or duty). These prices were competitive! And I much prefer to browse real items! This store will now be my destination for gifts (birthdays, holidays), and for toys and materials for the children I work with.

Quality, Service and great prices.

We had the opportunity to shop at this location a week ago and were delighted to find toys of such enduring quality. The prices surprised us in a very positive way and the staff were both informative and accommodating. With six grandchildren to shop for this is quickly becoming our go-to toy store. Wooden toys, the latest toys, educational toys, puzzles and fabulous plush toys; they have it all. Congratulations!

Great atmosphere and wonderful service, with a great selection. Will be making many more purchases here in the future. The prices are also very competitive.

Best Toy Store In Toronto

I found this new store a few weeks ago and it's now our favourite toy store. Big, with lots of toys we haven't seen elsewhere. Love the location right downtown.
