they don't know what allergies are.

i decided to go in for a veggie roti for dinner, take out. i asked the guy if there was tomato in the veggie roti and told him i have an allergy. he had the music on so loud, that now, i think he pretended to hear me, because his answer was "no." anyway-i brought it home, ate half of it, it was lacking in flavour and i was regretting ordering it. my throat started to get tight, and i started to feel weird. THEN-i found tomato skin! all i have to say is they are lucky my allergy isn't deadly! i'd like to thank them for the hives! i will not be going back and i will let people know about this event! unreal!

This was our first visit. We saw some guys eating this delicious looking food at a park on Yonge St. and asked them where they got it. They directed us to the Ritz. We had our two young daughters with us who are very adventurous eaters. Smelled good when we entered the joint. We got our food to go and ate it in a park. The food was delicious, we all enjoyed it. Our daughters would have preferred the salad however. I really thought they should have had more salad ready at dinner time. Be careful if you can't handle spicy food. The rice was piquant and the curry chicken was very hot for me, but fine for my husband. We were glad to have found this restaurant and would go back again.

I have eaten at the Ritz many times, at all...

I have eaten at the Ritz many times, at all locations. If you want great, authentic, home cooked Caribbean food that is full of flavor, give them a try. I have had Roti at many places and the Ritz makes the best. (Chicken, Beef, Shrimp, Chana) They also have many specialty items that are hard to find at other so called Caribbean restaurants. The service is always very friendly but due to the high anount of customers it is sometimes a little slow, but very worth the wait. Give it a try.

Discover the best Jamaican patties in Toronto

Spicy Jamaican patties have an unparalleled sizzle but you can kick the heat up further with a dab of scotch bonnet sauce. Pro tip: grab a handful of beef patties with the daily lunchtime specials, and don’t forget a cold bottle of pop to extinguish the fire.
