I have visited this location many times and have had a good meal overall in most instances. The most recent visit was for brunch. I was intrigued by the description for the pear and coconut pancakes but they were a letdown - dry, lacking flavour. The coffee is decent, a bit strong, not always hot. Their omelettes are usually good and I've heard that their strawberry french toast is good so maybe I'll give that a try. For dinner, I've tried Bellinis on numerous occasions but they are hit or miss (usually miss) - they don't always have a good flavour. I liked their very first menu when they opened - with chicken reggiano and white chocolate brownie. Their Caesar salad used to be a larger portion and had a LOT more roasted garlic in it but it seems they've cut back.
I got the salad.. could not taste more plain. I got something else but I don't think it was anything special either because I can't even recall what it was.
I go to milestones a lot, and various locations. they continue to disappoint so i thought i would write about my last three visits. seafood fettuccine - this is one of my favorites, over the past year the recipe and quality has gone down hill no longer worth ordering. bellinis- price went up, quality went down. drink has become nothing but sugary slush with next to no alcohol content. husband ordered a burger- it was good however it came out so late and my pasta had so little sauce i asked them to add more sauce, they answered by bringing out a massive bowl of fries, we have fries out its a waste of money with was clear when we ordered the healthier appetizers and no fries with the burger. the waitress left the bill with attitude and said "it was a slice" another visit - waiter disappeared forever, made a complaint and received a gift card. next visit we received the same server we complained about and asked to be served by someone else, this waitress was wonderful by the way and our meal was great.
My family and I ate here last night. While I usually like Milestones, I did not enjoy my dish. The service was decent as usual, and my family ordered salads for apps, and my dad and I got the spinach dip to share. When the dip arrived, it had only naan bread, as I had requested. The bread was fantastic but it was a very small portion. So we had to order another portion and wait for it. Turns out they charged us for the extra bread! Shouldn't you simply supply enough bread so that dish is complete? Even with the second order of bread we barely finished the dip. As well, since we had to wait for the second order of bread, we were sitting there until they brought it which was like 2 minutes before they brought they entrees out. That was awkward. Nothing like scambling to finish your app so you can eat your entree. I had seafood fettucini which I had always wanted to try but was wary of because of the abundance of fish. It was a weird flavour. It was essentially fish with lemon and fettucini noodles. There were some shrimps, but mostly huge hunks of sea bass and salmon, which tasted dry. Bottomline, don't order this dish. My mom ordered some sort of mexican chocolate cake for dessert which was rather dull and left a weird after taste. The cajun shrimp diane, which I had last time, was fantastic, and I will stick to that. I also ordered off their seasonal inspirations menu a while ago, and was not impressed with the two pieces of shrimp that came with the steak. Anyways, will keep you updated.
This is a great place to go with friends or with your significant other. I'm usually opposed to chain restaurants but this one is one that I recommend. The food is better than the regular chain restos, it's full of flavour and presented very nicely. The service is great and the atmosphere casual but romantic and chic. The bar area is a nice place to go for late night appetizers/dessert with drinks. The drink menu is very large and I highly recommend their Bellini...with the extra mile. The menu has a very wide selection. as for starters, i recommend the Kobe beef sliders, the phyllo shrimp and the Yam Frites. I am always impressed with the dinner, their salads are delicious and the Portobello Mushroom Chicken, Shanhai noodle stirfry and the Grilled Mediterranean Chicken are delicious. Milestones is significantly better than the regular chain restaurants and I am always satisfied when I leave.
