Although steamed rice may be eaten every day, the biryani (slow cooked with meat and spices in clay pots) and the vegetarian pulao, are often served on special occasions.
I love the food but I do agree with the other people the customer experience needs work. I have eat in the resturant when they first started and it was great, since then I have taken out 2 other times. Once I was told that they were closed between lunch and dinner and that I would have to come back in two hours even though the open hours state different. I have talked to the owner and he is very nice. It was some of the other people that I found rude. I now know when they are open and I only take out.
It's a shame as it's the only Indian restaurant...
It's a shame as it's the only Indian restaurant in Newmarket. So the potential for success is great. They are dishonest and overly frugal. They claimed to use chicken breast in some of hte dishes that actually contained deboned chicken legs. They charged an addition 50 cent surchase for using interact which I thought was tasteless on a 50.00 bill. We were quite disappointed and will not go back or recommend it to anyone.
We will NEVER! EVER! go back again! What a nightmare. First of all, our server was so blunt and sort of rude when we asked questons about the ingredient. Food was alright, may be we lost appetite after being treated poorly. We asked for seperate bill and they requested for 50? when my friends want to pay debit?? How lame is that? We were shocked and disappointed. It was a waste of our time at this India Time. Total thumbs down experience.
The owner/manager has no expression on his face...
The owner/manager has no expression on his face all night. Not friendly at all. The food was ok, nothing impressive. The atmosphere was just plain cold. Nice decoration. It was like having dinner in a wax house on a Friday night. We love indian food and are willing to spend for a good time. Unfortunately, there isn't many choices in the area. However, I would rather drive a little bit further south than go there again. So, no more India Time in Newmarket.
