Today, I was passing by Forest City Computers, and realized that I didn’t left a review to this place for my disappointing experience on July 26, 2019. I brought my MacBook that needed its motherboard to be replaced. They told me they can do that and I left it with them. I took it back in 2 days and realized that they put a used motherboard from an older version MacBook. I immediately called them and asked why they did so. They told me that it was a communication er
Fixed my MacBook Air when it couldn't be fixed at the Apple Store so I was very pleased. But when I opened it up to replace the battery, they only partially re-installed the screws (many screws were missing). I would think that they would fully screw in the parts when they put my MacBook back together.
I've taken a few laptops in to Forest City and they always do a great job. They diagnose the issue quickly, let you know the total cost to repair and if the repair is worth it. Repairs are often done on the same day, which is awesome because as a small business owner I depend on my laptop. I wouldn't take my computer anywhere else.
Repair prices are attractive but cables not reconnected, broken mounts, missing screws, one thing fixed and comes back with another problem, incompetence in diagnosis, runaround when computer comes back with other problems. The main problem with these guys is they tear down so fast leading to incomplete diagnosis and very sloppy work. I had a beautiful laptop in mint condition, not anymore. Will never, never, never use their services again. Best to pay a bit more

Excellent and prompt service
After getting a computer virus and having an essay due in the morning, the guys at Forest City Computer Repairs had my computer back to me in less then 2 hours, and it even runs a lot faster and finally no pop ups. Great Service
I dropped by HP Envy Laptop off to Al as the screen had fractured. When I went to the big box stores there replacement fees were huge and the time was extensive. Al had the computer ready to go in two days with a very reasonable price. A delight to work with and so understanding of the fact that my computer knowledge is that of checking email and Facebook.
