i dont know what people's problems are, this place rules. the staff is really nice and the food is authentic (most of it). I noticed a review saying the food at the grad louge is better...IT'S THE EXACT SAME FOOD, same chef (VJ), same recipes. it would appear someone has a grudge. i love the honesty, if my food i going to be a while they tell me the truth before i pay, giving me the option to eat somewhere else if im rushing. i'd rather that than to be told 10 minutes and wait 30. fine dinning it is not but curry in a hurry is tasty, fun, cheap, and usually fast. go.
We call this place Curry-Not-in-a-Big-Hurry because the two times we ate here it took 1+ hrs to get our food. Now, I make my own rajma dinner at home in less than 1 hr. Lots of take-out food went out the door while we waited (maybe that's how you get it in a hurry).
I love the butter chicken here... my only complaint is that they were closed from 4-5... I wanted to order it to be ready for 5, and it would seem to make more sense to be closed from 3-4. Also, ive waited anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour for the food... not always "in a hurry".
I had the misfortune of eating a swanky excuse of an authentic Indian cusine lunch. Also found the staff of the restaurant to be unclean, unshaven and a foul oder in which my appetite was lost upon entering this shame of a restaurant..
What you should know is that at Curry In A Hurry, they don't actually COOK the food. Lots of microwaves. Everything comes in styrofoam containers [individual sized portions] and is heated up on site, as well as spiced. I don't mean to ruin it for you, but this place is a bit of a scam. Does that still qualify as a "restaurant"?
