food was acceptable, but service was horrible. i mean, HORRIBLE! getting a server to even come to our table in the first place was a mission, and it waent downhill from there. i guess thats why staff has to post the fake reviews below. save your money, go someplace else - ANYWHERE else.
We were sitting at a table for over 15 minutes, and no one came over to see if we wanted anything. We finally moved to another table because the air conditioning was dripping on our heads. After sitting at the new table for another 10 minutes some of us went to the bar to get our own drinks. Finally the server came over to ask us if we wanted food. We told him that we wanted some drinks. My co-worker ordered a gin & tonic, and in its place got a gin & soda. Without telling him that they were out of tonic they gave him a soda in the gin. There is a big difference between the to. My friends were very disappointed in the service.
The servers during the time of our visit were clearly more interested in serving the elder men in the establishment, trying to up the tips perhaps, the short kilts cant hurt either. We waited approximately 30 minutes (we eventually timed it to see how long it would take for them to notice us) at our table until we ourselves had to ask for some service. I enjoyed the decor of the place but otherwise I would not recommend this restaurant.
The pub itself is nice. I've been here 3 times now and each time the service has been horible. When you're out to drink, you shouldn't have to flag down your waitress everytime your drink is empty.
Horrible service, nice place.
The service first of all was absolutely terrible. It was like we weren't even there when trying to order drinks and food. Though worst of all was when my wife was watching the end of an episode of "24" on the big screen television they have and the waitress decided that it was more important to turn to the channel to something she wanted to watch, despite us asking her to keep it on the show we were watching (few people were there and there was no one else watching the televion). I have no complaints about the Guiness, but I can say the fries were cold and tasted like rotten potatoes were used to make them. It was an unfortunate experience and I will definitely never come back to this pub.
