Growing up in Georgetown, Sushi wasn't exactly a mainstay in town. After moving back and finding more than one Sushi place in town, it was clear the town was changing and catching up to the rest of the world. Still...Sushi in Georgetown? I was skeptical... Walking into Yo-Yo's, it was like I had completely stepped out of town into another world. Nothing like I had expected. The service and atmosphere alone make this place worth visiting. Is it the best Sushi I've ever had? No...in fact, the other place in town is actually tastier (and all you can eat), but lacks the same charm that Yo-Yo's has. It's a little pricey, but worth it! And while I say the other place has better tasting sushi (my opinion), that's not to downplay this place...it's still fantastic food!
The last time I was here and I wish I knew about a review site like this, the food is far from what I call amazing sushi since it being all the hype in Georgetown because people havn't been to actual sushi restaurants. Never will go here again and would not recommend this sushi place to anyone.
The food here is very good, although I have had better rolls. I love their dressing on the salad, everything tastes very fresh. I mostly like this restaurant because of the cozy atmosphere and I love the private booths.
Anyway took a girl I had meet thru my sister to this place because she is a fan of sushi and oriental food. She wanted it and for a first date you want what the lady wants. She is looker and all that. Anyway the food was yuck bland with raw fish on it and the sauce wouldnt kill the odor or taste. We had a beer and they still wouldnt offer good service. For $40 we didnt get service. Still Tara was happy but I aint telling you what happened next
New menu. Waitresses not familiar with the menu at all. Soups and tea was cold. Quality and service has gone down since our last time here. Toshi in Brampton is simply the best in the GTA.
Food and service were excellent. House wine very good. Outside patio views not so great. Car mechanic shop next door. OK once they had gone home. Hadn't been here in a few years and previously not good. Now, definately will go back. One of our favourites now.
My husband and I go here often. The quality and quantity of the food is wonderful. You certainly get your money worth. The service is fast and friendly. The atmosphere is alright if your in a booth, if your at a table it can feel crowded.
The service is amazing. The food is fresh, flavourful and large amount of food for what you pay for. Would visit over and over again
WE loved it. It was my husband b- day and living 8 years in G-town, we 've been everywhere! I tought. My husband started to love sussi( veg) about 2 years ago. I love Japanese food but/ we are not an experts and we don't eat that food offten /so I cant really compere the quality with some other Jap. res. I can only say we loved the taste, portions, presentation, atmosfere..... We will definetlly become frequent guests. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone!
Good atmosphere and music. Service is fast and friendly, the booths are cozy and private but could use thicker mats to sit on. Food was tasty, not the greatest I've ever had but still very good. Waitress was kind and attentive. Not too loud in the restaurant and almost all adults in there. I've been there countless times and people in town seem to know to not bring poorly behaved children in Yo Yo's which is greatly appreciated.
Yoyo's is a fantastic Japanese restaurant in Georgetown. They are very friendly there, and they always have a complimentary appetizer for your table. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone!
Magnificent food, great ambiance, very proud servers, I can't say enough good things about Yoyo in Georgetown. It was our first visit, and hadn't realized what we were missing until we had finished, and kept talking about how great everything was.! There is no question as to whether or not we will come back--Real soon!!! Great place, nice people, the way you would expect to be treated as someone's guest.
consistent quality of food and service. We could not find good quality of suishi overseas - had to come home to get it!!!
My friends and I absolutely love this place!! We come often. The food is always amazing and so fresh, the atmosphere is calm and relaxing. The servers and chefs are so polite and sweet. Definitly my favourite place to eat in Georgetown and I would reccomend Yo Yo's to anyone!! Its amazing!!
Me and my husband have heard about yoyo from the radio station. they have been talking about how awsom this resturant is. we order thier beef sashimi, drangon maki and sm sashimi party boat. it is so good, espacialy the way chef cut the sashimi. I'm from Japan, therefore i notice that the way he cut fish is different then the way we cut back home. but as i try his sashimi i understnad why he cut this way, so the fish is not to chewy but it will mielt in your mouth. An elder from back home have taught me about all the fish is diffrent. and how you should change your way to cut it. I think the yoyo chef has master it.
Our family have been eating at yoyo for many years, We recently hear from John the sushi chef and the owner of yoyo said that the patio is going to open soon. It must be great for the summer. anywayz it just my fantasy to eat sushi under the sun haha~ the food is good as usual and the waitress is so cute and nice with the "ki mo no". we will go again soon. It's a good place for summer sushi.
I loveeee this place and everytime i go to georgetown i eat here.
Great atmosphere, very quite, baby friendly. Can't wait to go again! Jennifer
This is a quaint Japanese restaurant, with excellent food and service! The food is always freshly prepared with excellent presentation and it is always served with a smile. GF
Sushi like this in G-Town??? I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't tried it. Would compare with downtown restaurants at half the price....
