Come enjoy a delicious creation at Mandarin Restaurant. Their atmosphere has been described as casual. They provide a buffet option. You can get there not only by car but also by public transit.
My boyfriend and I usually visit when we can't decide on anything particular to eat. This place is your average typical Mandarin - nothing spectacular, good food and service (although it can get annoying when you hear a chorus of "Welcome to the Mandarin" 50,000 times during dinner).
This place was gross! The reviews made it seem good, but trust me don't go. they had more canadian food than they did chinese, and the Chinese they did have was loaded with MSG yet was still flavourless, on the ride home i wished i could puke it up. Sadly my stomach still hurts and my pallet is hating me for the decision. Now i know why they keep loading up the water even before i ate.
This is a great special occasion restaurant!! And go when you a hungry. They often have snow crabs, and will when you ask give crackers for them. The only unfortunate thing is that they use canola oil, and not butter, and you can taste it.
The price is fabulous for a buffet. The welcome is nice, but tedius because everyone says it. Food is wonderful, fresh and hot. And so much of it. And such a variety there is alot to enjoy and a very resonable price.
Friendly, affordable, big menu, big portions. Good value for the family. They have specialty items on the menu like sushi and fried rice amongst other things. Expect to wait for a table on weekends. Kids love it though.
This place is pretty good - a typical Mandarin. The food is good, the service is decent. Like other users say, hearing "Welcome to Mandarin" about 100 times per visit is annoying but at least the staff are friendly. My only complaint is that you have to hold on to your food - if you turn around for a moment they sometimes take it away on you!
