We also do curry dinners, doubles (bundles of curried spiced chickpeas), Pholourie (fried dough with chutney), as well as many other Caribbean favorites. We have a wide selection of imported beverages to accent your meal even further.
Tasty and filling, but just a tad over-rated. Basically just Paki-style curry food wrapped up like a burrito. They have a very limited menu, and have usually run out of a lot of the items on it. But, I realize they have achieved "cult status" among their fans. Go for it.
absolutely incredible food. Just as good as Kori's in Oakville. I started going to Kori's back in 91'but since I live in Burlington now I'm so delighted I found D hot Shoppe. The food just keeps getting better and Gabriel and Simone are two of the nicest people you would ever want to meet. The service is always fast considering how busy it can be during lunch on any given day of the week.

Food was amazing. There was a long lineup but it was worth the trip from Oakville. I used to visit a place in Oakville but I was in the Burlington area feeling for some spicy food and was told to come here. Very tasty and filling. Had to eat the doubles home though as the curry dinner was more than enough food for lunch.
My girlfriend and I come here at least once a week and as always we are always greeted with friendly staff and great food. It is not a long wait at all and the prices are quite reasonable. Love the calypso and always feel like I am visting family in the Caribbean rather than going to a restaurant.
