Blossom City is the hidden gem of Burlington. The lunch special is unbeatable (under 5$) and the Dinner For Two is fantastic.
General Chicken is their crowning dish. I've been to Blossom City many times over the past ten years - it's been funny to see it's increasing popularity. General chicken started off as a once a week meal special. How, it's the special everyday.
Their chicken fried rice and chow mein aren't bad either. And they have some more authentic Chinese selections as well, which are also good.
Two reasons why service can be circumspect:
1) I tis a family run place has which limited staff
2) Almost every single person who come sin is a local that orders the General chicken dinner for two special, so different orders can be rare. It's not uncommon to be seated and order right at the moment, for locals.
Everyday this fine establishment satisfies my lunchtime urges for amazing food and I have never heard a bad word about the place. Blossom City is the place to eat, the servers are extremely friendly, the food is beyond incredible, and the calming music in the background sets a superb mood for the general chicken/fried rice lunch special. Only $5.16 after taxes!!
