Could be Better

A bit disappointing, perhaps I expected too much from reading other reviews. Decor is pleasant and comfortable. Service was slow and unprofessional (teenage girl) Food was nothing special, fish undercooked, fries OK. They were out of Coleslaw. (in a fish and chip place?) They serve bottled beer but were out of two brands on the menu. Beer came with NO glass and took forever to get one. It was a WELL USED PLASTIC glass. The flatware was VERY worn and used looking. Am I being too fussy?? I really wanted to like this place, I drove out of my way to visit there but will NOT return.

Must Try

This is the closest Brampton will get to having a little taste of Britain. It is the best fish and chip I have had since back home. The cod light batter and chip are to die for. Their chicken pot pies and chip are also a good bet for those who don't like fish. The breaded chicken strips are amazing as well, you can get alone with chips or in a wrap. The menu is very extensive for a fish and chip place. Beats Heritage Fish and Chip by far. Gott's the fish is fresh, bigger and more value for your $$$. The service is good, the employees know their stuff and make recommendations if you are not sure. I have been many many many times and the service and the food is always the same - really good! MUST TRY! Corner of Queen and McLaughlin right beside the Service Canada office.....

Best in Brampton

My family has always eaten fish and chips and even since we went to Gott's its been our preferred spot. We go out of our way to visit Gott's when we're craving fish and chips as its on the other side of town. Their light batter is the best thing to happen to fish and chips. No puffy, doughnut like substance on the outside of your fish. Just delicious, light, cripsy batter and moist, amazing fish. My family usually opts for either the halibut or the cod and the halibut and chips is the family favourite. I have attempted to try a number of different fish options on the menu but my favourite is by far the rainbow trout with light batter and chips. If you want the best fish and chips in Brampton Gott's is the place to hit up. The fish is amazing, the staff is friendly and the restaurant is always clean and well stocked. The ice cream is also surprisingly good.

Excellent

Overall an excellent place. I went for dinner with my wife, very good friendly service, they make you feel like part of their family. Everything is cooked fresh right before your eyes to order. I had the Halibut with light batter & Chips and the wife had Pan Fried Rainbow Trout. Both meals were delicious and nothing like we had eaten before; we finish our meal with a fried ice-cream. I wont tell you what that is, you'll have to try it..lol

Wow!

Awesome place, I had the Bangers(Pork Sausages) & Beans (British Heinz Baked Beans) with Irn Bru. Boy can I tell you it brought back the memories. This place just made me feel so at home, they even have huge pictures of London on the walls. Menu has something for everyone from Fish to Pies and even rice pudding!
