I moved from Unionville to Newmarket two years ago. I still make a monthly pilgrimage to Mr Fish and Chips because I haven't found anything remotely comparable from here to Vaughan. The fish batter is light and flaky. Their chips are good, but the potato fritters (my personal favourite) are lip-smacking goodness.
The eat-in area is pretty basic. Definitely NOT somewhere to go on a first date. Come for the food, not the ambiance.

This was our first visit. Staff are pleasant and friendly, not to mention patient and helpful. Prices are very reasonable and the fish was quite good, not greasy and the fries were excellent.

Excellent food made by people who care. The Chicken Roti is excellent. Spiced just right, and a good sized portions. The meal is fresh, made to order and the service friendly. My kids are now big fans of Caribbean food. The Doubles are also very good. The Jerk Chicken and Ox Tails are delicious. My family and I get take out here about once every three weeks. We have been here two times for dinner. The atmosphere is good, but a bit tight space to sit.
The service is great and fast.
The portions were big and the deal it, that you get a complementary delicious set of eggplant dips with bread.
The food we had was very tasty and good. I don't recall the menus we had, but I recall that we liked it.
All in all a pretty good food with the nice idea of the free appetizers. Always good to just hop in for a good spontaneous dinner.

This is the best fish and chips that I've ever tried in Toronto. (I went there on the advice of a friend and would have never have gone here without that recommendation).
It's a very unassuming place, with fairly drab surroundings. But the fish is top notch, with large portions at a good price. I don't really know what else to say besides that. It's fish and chips and it's GOOD.
(If it weren't for the location, I'd come back more often.)

I came on good friday april 19,2019. I had the new orleans salmon with baked potato with butter and sour cream and rice. Was absolutely amazing taste and cooked perfect. It came with diced tomatoes and cilatro with some shrimp in like a cajun butter sauce. With those delicious biscuits they famous for and i even had a side ceasar salad. If i wasnt actually impressed i wouldn’t come back. I havent been to red lobster for about 10 years but today i was stunned how good it was.

The food was really good and the staff was really friendly too! I can't see how anyone who visits this jewel, hidden in the corner of the plaza, would find any fault at all. I stumbled upon Dennis' little oasis about 5 years ago and it has become a weekly ritual. Jerk chicken is to die for. Ox tail is the best I have ever had for sure and the rice and peas stand up to any carribean resaurant in the GTA for sure. I have moved to Calgary and put my family as 1A and the Jerk Pit as 1B as things I miss the most. No Caribbean restaurant out here even compares.
