Been coming here for years. I dont know who wrote that last review but they must have a screw loose. What would you expect if you tried to get a table for 7 people on a saturday nite without a reservation when the place is lined up. We had a great time, the food was good and the service was adequate considering how busy the place was. The lineup indicated they are doing something right. I moved from Unionville to Newmarket two years ago. I still make a monthly pilgrimage to Mr Fish and Chips because I haven't found anything remotely comparable from here to Vaughan. The fish batter is light and flaky. Their chips are good, but the potato fritters (my personal favourite) are lip-smacking goodness. The eat-in area is pretty basic. Definitely NOT somewhere to go on a first date. Come for the food, not the ambiance. Read more

We ordered seafood soup (like a gyoza soup), bul go gi, sashimi, three orders (6pc.) of unagi sushi, and tea (of course). The sashimi was fresh and the cuts were of a good size. I have been there many times before and the food is always tasty and well priced. I would recommend it to anyone!... However, as a personal sidenote... I prefer sashimi to be really cold, almost-but-not-quite-frozen. The sashimi at Sushi House was cold but not as cold as I like it. Read more
