I recently became acquainted with Dr. Sandhu and the staff at Bayshore Optometric when I needed a new pair of glasses. I would say the service they provide is outstanding. They have the latest in technology - I even had a panoramic photo done of the inside of my eye, never had that before. The staff are great and Dr. Sandhu is friendly and smart. Their hours are amazing there so there is no problem getting an appointment evenings or weekends. Very happy with my prescription. Read more

Wow! Such a great optometrist and a great office as well. Very accurate, very precise. Will not recommend you something that you do not need. Excellent work every single time! Last time I showed up at the right time but on the wrong day, and since the previous client was seen early, they still, very smoothly, and without making anyone wait, got me in. Not only this, but Dr Beauchamp has the best attitude I have seen in a doctor. Extremely positive person, helpful and kind. Thank you! Read more

Optometrists in Glen Tay ON

Is your eyesight getting blurry? Need to get a new prescription for your glasses? Looking into getting rid of those eyeglasses all together with laser corrective eye surgery but you’re not sure who to consult? Eyesight is something most of us take for granted until we need to get it checked out. From simple eye examinations to cataract surgery, do you know if you should be dealing with an optician or an optometrist?

Tips to find optometrists in Glen Tay ON

  • What kind of eye specialist do you need? : Your search for the right eye specialist begins by understanding optometrist services. Optometrists measure your eye vision and can refer you to an ophthalmologist if any eye surgery is required. An ophthalmologist is a medical professional that specialises in eye diseases.
  • Referrals: Friends and family members who’ve worn eyeglasses or contacts for a long time are you best referrals for optometrists or opticians. They most likely deal with their favourite optometrist once or twice a year or replace their frames on a regularly basis with a particular optician.
  • Credentials: An optician should be accredited by a provincial technical college whereas an optometrist and an ophthalmologist should be recognised by your province’s medical board. A good optometrist or ophthalmologist will have residency experience.
  • Experience trumps all: An optometrist who has been in business for a long time is someone who has avoided mal practice lawsuits. Find optometrists in Glen Tay ON who have been in the business for a while that are part of a medical research team. Optometrists that do medical research are specialists who stay current with the latest in eye care treatment and diagnosis.
