If you ever thought the words "zen" and "accounting" could never appear together in the same sentence, you might now have reason to change your mind. Xen Accounting (pronounced “zen”) brings peace of mind to business owners looking to escape the headaches of everyday accounting.
For six years, Ryan Lazanis worked in a small accounting firm. It was a good job with good pay, but Ryan's mind was busy working on something else. He felt for the small business owners, with their shoebox full of receipts and pile of page-long Excel sheets, and wondered if there was a way to free them of the burden of their accounting. Luckily there was. "With the technology available today, you can put much of your accounting on autopilot," says Ryan. "Business owners should spend their time doing what they do best, not filing receipts and crunching numbers." In 2013, Ryan launched Xen Accounting and set out to push the boundaries of what it means to be an accounting firm in the digital age.
