Jonathan Bourassa's passion for tattoos began very early on, at the age of twelve, after he accidentally saw a stranger's tattoo in a store. His tattoo studio, Private Tattoo, is located on Colonial Avenue at the corner of Villeneuve. But it was in the living room of his own Montreal apartment that Jonathan began his career as a tattoo artist.
That happens to be where the studio's name comes from. "My clients would come to me to get a tattoo, it was a relaxed, familiar atmosphere, without rush," recalls Jonathan. One need only set foot in Private Tattoo to see the atmosphere remains the same.
That's one of the things that stands out most, according to Jonathan's clients — they say he's professional and accessible, and that his artistic work is impeccable. Jonathan's clientele is mainly composed of professionals between the ages of 25 and 55. Among them, there are also many business executives.
