Delicious, a real...

Delicious, a real staple for smoked meat and steaks. Many times people head over here when the line is too long at Schwartz when in reality this is an excellent first choice!

Top Montreal steakhouses for Father’s Day

Top Montreal steakhouses for Father’s Day

This affordable steakhouse serves up loads of smoked meat dishes, but don’t think they don’t know a thing or two about steak. Choose from sliced beef platters, or perfectly grilled steaks, served with lip-smacking sides like crispy, seasoned fries, smoked meat poutines, pickles, coleslaw, fried onions and more. Dad can load up on all the meat he wants and it won’t set you back all that much.

Can’t miss late-night eats in Montreal

Can’t miss late-night eats in Montreal

Open until 5 am every night, this Saint Laurent Boulevard institution will serve you not only their delicious smoked meat sandwich, but also a boneless rib steak, spare ribs, burgers and even apple pancakes. "But what’s this?" It’s a Greek dish called latkas – a fried potato pancake served with sour cream – and you’ll want to try one.

Bob le Chef’s picks for a great sandwich in Montreal

Bob le Chef’s picks for a great sandwich in Montreal

While everyone waits in line at Schwartz’s, I advise you to cross the street and enjoy the real Montreal smoked meat at le Main. Because a true Montrealer does not wait in line for his or her sandwich and, moreover, at le Main, they have a liquor license! So, you can treat yourself to a good hoppy brew to accompany your smoked meat sandwich. By the way, they serve the same recipe that is served across the street, the only difference being that at le Main, the service is impeccable.
