To say that Charles Kharbouth and Hanif Harji have helped elevate the city’s dining scene is an understatement. Already known for opening beautiful venues, the duo’s recent endeavor gives people another flavour-filled dining destination. And this time, they didn’t have to look for a brand new location to create it. The pair replaced a steakhouse and reinvented the space, transforming it into a lovely, intimate and chic 200-seat restaurant (including front garden) in four weeks.
By April 2017, Estia opened its doors just north of Yorkville proper. It didn’t take long before eager diners clamoured to enjoy approachable, delicious food prepared using traditional cooking techniques and simple ingredients all within an environment that not only compliments the dishes perfectly, but one that makes you want to stay for a while.
