When Svitlana Nalywayko returned to Canada after her job contract in Russia came to an end, she had no other job prospects to welcome her. “I basically had nothing to do. So I did a lot of yoga,” she explains. Her “aha” moment came when a friend suggested that she establish her own studio. Six weeks later, she did, opening the original Breathe YogaStudio in Bloor West Village.
Breathe Yoga Studio developed a large and loyal following, so much so that after ten years, it outgrew the original studio in Bloor West. “We were bursting at the seams,” Svitlana says. In 2011, she relocated Breathe Yoga to Dundas Street West in Toronto’s burgeoning Junction neighbourhood. The new yoga studio is spacious and elegant, keeping pace with its growing clientele.
Whether you’re looking to improve your alignment in certain postures, or develop your balance, strength, flexibility and endurance, Breathe Yoga Studio welcomes everyone, at any level of their yoga practice. Offering classes in Ashtanga, Hatha Flow and Iyengar, Breathe also runs many special classes for athletes, expectant mothers, toddlers, kids and families.
