After spending most of her career working in the corporate world, Nisha Amin decided to follow her dream, while filling a void in the city. As a passionate baker, she came to notice how much dessert was being wasted at parties and events. The sweet leftovers inspired her to come up with a new kind of bite-sized bakery, a unique concept that hadn’t been done in Toronto.

Bite Bar offers petite treats in a variety of flavours so customers can satisfy their sweet tooth without having to commit to a full-sized dessert. Customers can order Bite Bar’s bite sized cupcakes in 13 gourmet flavours, such as peanut butter and jelly, chocolate mint, and red velvet. The signature Just Bite It cupcake features vanilla cake stuffed with raspberry puree and topped with raspberry vodka vanilla buttercream icing.

Nisha’s sweet emporium also offers bite-sized macarons, doughnuts, tarts, marshmallow bars and cheesecakes. These tiny treats are start at only 25-30 calories, compared to a regular sized cupcake, which can clock up to 700 calories.

The bite sized treats are ideal for customers looking for a small snack or those hoping to sample a variety of flavours. “You get a little bit of everything instead of committing yourself to just the one flavour,” says Nisha. “You’re still getting a burst of flavour but in a smaller size. You can actually finish your dessert without feeling bad about it after.”
