Ted Conroy defends criminal and quasi-criminal prosecutions and acts for plaintiffs and defendants in civil lawsuits.
Ted is the firm’s senior counsel. He graduated from the University of Toronto, in 1954 before attending Osgoode Hall. Since his call to the Bar in 1958 he has practiced from Sudbury throughout the Province of Ontario.
During his more than 50 years of practice he has represented over 15 persons accused with murder and countless numbers of persons on lessor offenses. He has special interest in crimes of violence and sexual abuse. This has led him to become knowledgeable in the use (and abuse) of firearms and edged weapons. Over the past 25 years Ted has developed novel statutory constitutional defences to alcohol-related offences such as impaired driving.
