Terrible food. Terrible service
i ALWAYS ORDER FROM JIM'S OF SIMCOE. BUT MY ORDER TONIGHT TOOK 1HR 45MIN. WHEN I ASKED THE DRIVER WHAT TOOK SO LONG HE SAID THE GIRL WHO TAKE'S THE PHONE CALLS FORGOT TO PUT MY ADDRESS DOWN SO IT COULD BE DELIVERED. I STILL HAD TO PAY $40;00 FOR COLD FOOD. THE PERSON WHO TOOK PHONE CALL IS NOT ANY PART OF JIM'S FAMILY. JUST THE PERSON WHO TAKE'S THE PHONE CALLS AND WAITS ON TABLE'S. I THINK JIM SHOULD GET RID OF THIS PERSON OR HE WILL LOSE CUSTOMERS.JIM'S OF SIMCOE IS NEVER LIKE THIS. ONE BAD APPLE WILL SPOIL THE BUNCH
Got take-out on Friday and enjoyed great service, great food and very good value for the money. Everyone enjoyed their meal very much and leftovers were great the next day. Would definitely eat there or get take-out again. Thank you to the staff for a great job.
The food was fresh and made to order, food was about what you would expect at a traditional local Chinese food restaurant. I found the server helpful as possible considering the language barrier, but after all it is a Chinese Restaurant it was almost charming.
The rice was greasy...the chicken balls was really battery with dried up chicken which they tried to cover up with lots of red sauce. Not impressed over the whole dinner. Very expensive for not a good meal.
The outside of the building is reminiscent of a warehouse, a new warehouse, but a warehouse nonetheless. Inside it's bright, clean and cheery. Portions were abundant and the food - with the exception of the chicken balls - was satisfactory. The chicken balls were tasteless lumps in an equally tasteless neon red sauce - looked great but absolutely no flavour whatsoever. Service was prompt and efficient
Slow. Did not have all food on menu. Maybe next I go. I can't see the place lasting.
Excellent food, consistently good. Owners take pleasure in knowing the regular customers. Service is great. Great selection of dishes, including ones that rival the restaurants on Baldwin St. or China Town in Toronto. This restaurant is on our list of regulars.
Jim's of Simcoe is a great restaurant with super food located in a small community with limited exposure. In a larger market this establishment would be the talk of the town. The food quality is excellent, the staff very friendly, and the portions are so big you'll need a "doggy bag" to take the leftovers home! And what a treat that is! Jim's is truly Norfolk's hidden jewel of eating establishments. You won't be dissappointed!
