$38.00 for French onion soup & a glass of premium red wine is a bit much. The wine was 19.00 ! ! I was there Thurs Dec.3. Both were good but over priced.I think the new owner needs to check his prices. They did not have a wine list/prices.Have visitedthis bistro several times in the past but did not expect sticker shock. JG
This is a hidden gem of a restaurant - service is always friendly and the food is good and well priced. In short the value you received is exceptional. While the wine list is decent, I would love to see more variety as a regular diner.
Great food and service. Good value!
Food is still very good. Also pleasant efficient service. Some pub type food AND some home style items. Beef stroganoff is excellent.
Heaven on 7 is wonderful! Not sure why there are some bad reviews! It is the same chef and owner as the auberge! They re-opened with a new look and menu. We have been several time and the food is exceptional eveytime. Fresh non frozen meals. I recommend ordering off of the specials board as there are often changing and unique, as to the regular menu. Great food fun and atmosphere will be back!
The food is fresh, unique and certainly not coming out of a freezer box. The atmosphere is quaint and you can listen to jukebox music while enjoying the interesting furniture and artwork. Will definitely be returning. If you want to try a restaurant which makes food from scratch (like all restaurants should!) try Heaven on Seven!
Haven on 7 was recommended to me by a friend, so off we went for our 45 minute drive and arrived around 12:30 on Saturday looking forward to a nice lunch. Once we arrived I was pleased to see the very relaxed home feel to the restaurant and the menu items on the board seemed to be of good variety. The main restaurant area which looked to seat 30 which at the time was 2/3ds full had only only one server. I was patient, took the time to look over the menu as I waited for the server to take drink order from a group of 8 noticing three other table waiting for their bill. After 5 minutes the server came up and asked if we had called to reserve a table, now this being out in the Country and during lunch it never occurred to me that we would have to reserve a table. I said no we hadn’t and she promptly said take that table over there and I will get to you when I can. We sat, looked over the menu, decided on beverage and food and waited. After 15 minutes she still hadn’t taken our order but was busy serving previous table getting bills and delivering beverages. I anxiously wondered why she didn’t have some help, or why she might of not at least acknowledged us by re assuring us that she would get to us in a few minutes. She was obviously under staffed. Another group came in of about 6 and seated them just past us and gave them menus. After another 5 minutes she came towards us, here I was thinking we could get our drink order in but to my amazement she walked right passed us as if we didn’t exist and took the drink order from the group who had only been there 5 minutes. I was so disappointed in her attitude that we didn’t reserve a table and then to bypass us for a group who came in 15 minutes after we arrived is not at all acceptable. Would of loved to have lunch, maybe if we stayed we could of made it dinner.

Recently read a previous review commenting on the Chef's outburst towards a server and feel the same way! We dined there on a few occasions awhile ago and the servers were very friiendly and attentive. The food was fine, but it' was the Chef's attitude, not only towards the staff but to clientele as well, that put us off from returning. He sits at the bar, engaging with patrons and just "blurts" out comments that are often insulting and offensive! Cannot understand why he would treat patrons in this manner? Feel sorry for the staff and will never go back!
Food is excellent, reasonably priced, well presented, hot and friendly service, and a chef that knows how to prepare tasty, great meals. Have no hesitation at taking friends and visitors there any time. Good soups, roast beef, and deserts, etc
Heaven on 7 is one of our favourite places to dine out. Chef Hubert Bielmann has come back to run this fine dining establishment, after selling the former restaurant, La Vielle Auberge, to a former waiter. Unfortunately, La Vielle Auberge went out of business. Fortunately, Hubert came back after spending quite a lot of money on upgrading the site. Now, under the name Heaven on 7, it is more casual, and a little less expensive, but it has a higher capacity. The food is wonderful, with daily specials which are very affordable. We often see people coming from considerable distances specifically to dine here, which is a testimony to Chef Bielmann. We love it, because we can walk down the hill to wine and dine, and then roll up the hill and not have to drive. We have hosted quite a few large parties here already with over 50 of our guests in attendance. Good food, good atmosphere, good price. What more could one ask for. Try it. You'll like it.
Wonderful food, lovely waitstaff and excellent service. Definitely will be back! Great value for the money. Only complaint is that the salads are bit pricey for appetizers.
The only reason why the service rating is low is because the chef had berated her to the point of tears. We could here him screaming at her out in the dining room and he was seen to be enjoying cocktails while working out in the lounge.Should be investigated. No employee should be treated like that for any reason ever.
