I walked in with at least 6-7 inches of hair at the top. I asked the "lady" in the BARBER SHOP to cut size 3 on the sides and back of my hair and to just cut a little bit off the top not a lot. I wear glasses and I can't see when she's cutting. Long story short she made my hair 3/4 of an inch long and basically did the exact opposite of what I asked her to do. Recently my barber of 20+ years retired. I tried a few places including the cheaper places and never received what I expected.
My friend told me about Maverick Studio for Men in the Pickering Town Center. I went in for a haircut and loved it so much that I also had the barber - Mike - give me a hot towel shave. It was fantastic! Facial massage with pre-shave lotion, hot towel, face steamer - the whole 9 yards. I left feeling refreshed and looking great. The studio is geared towards men and looks manly. I wasn't uncomfortable for a second. I can't recommend these guys enough.
