    Terrible Experience

This was our third visit to Yuki Restaurant, and we were expecting good food and decent service, which is what we'd experienced before. Instead, what we got was fish that actually smelled fishy, and looked visibly stale, like it had been sitting out. We ordered a plate of mixed sushi and maki rolls, and another plate of mixed sashimi. It seemed as though some fresh fish had been mixed with stale fish, maybe to try to get rid of the old one. There were cuts of salmon that were perfectly fresh, and cuts of salmon that looked crusted almost from sitting out - these bad pieces had a definite fishy odour to them. We were also unable to eat the tuna and two other kinds of fish (I'm not sure what the names are), as they were also fishy and not at all fresh. My mother ate a shrimp that was obviously bad. It smelled terrible! All in all, we ate less than half of our meal - only the cuts of fish that actually looked like normal, fresh fish. We mentioned it to the waitress when she asked how everything was and she immediately told us that they only serve fresh fish, and that their food could not possibly be bad. She didn't smell the fish, and frankly, she barely glanced at it when we tried to point out that it looked terrible. We were not rude at all and didn't request that our meal is free, but again, told her that we had been there before and never had a problem with the food before. The waitress went to speak to the chef on staff, and came back to tell us that the chef said their fish is very fresh! We were very, very disappointed. No one other than the waitress came to speak to us, and all the waitress kept saying is that their fish is always fresh. My mother and I are both sushi lovers, and have been to many sushi restaurants around the city. We are not expecting stellar service every time, but we don't appreciate being lied to and wasting our money on food we cannot even eat. Be very careful with this restaurant. We left wondering if we made a mistake trying to even eat part of our meal, in case it was all bad fish. We won't be visiting Yuki restaurant again.

yes... we are here once again~

we are here to try something we haven't tried last time~ here we go~ Tempura & Kalbi combo is delicious~ tempura vegis include 3 shrimps, 1 green pepper, 1 cucumber, 1 broccoli, 1 white onion, 1 sweet potato...(maybe i missed 1 more vegi) however, it's very satisfying... grilled kalbi is like bone-in beef teriyaki... very flavorful~ Sushi & Sashimi combo is awesome-ly fresh-ly delicious~ simply excellent for its price~ alright~ here comes the Salmon Head BBQ~ without this meal, I will give them 5 stars on Food catagory~ it's kinda dissapointing that the Salmon Head isn't grilled to order~ the salmon skin isn't charred till crispy~ it's more like it has been "microwaved"~ the interior is a bit hotter than the exterior of the Salmon~ the only drawback of the whole meal~ however~ the rest is still maintained to its perfection so far~ keep it up~ and see you next time~

Awesome Little Place To Hang Out

Dynamite Roll => the ingredients are fresh, however, the shrimp tempura isn't that crispy when we bite into the sushi~ Seafood U-don => really really good, the soup is presented in a stone-like bowl and it's boiling hot when it arrived our table (remains boiling hot after 5 mins or so), the U-don is really Q and tasty, quiet a lot of seafood as well~ perfect in winter time~ Yakidori => a bento /w 3 skewers of kabob~ our first time eating a kabob that's fried first and then grilled~ really special way to enjoy~ Chicken Katsu => a bento /w fried chick cutlets cutted into inch-width strips~ nice and crispy /w soya-like dipping sauce~ Ice Cream => even though we don't have much room left after the entree'~ but we still enjoy the little treat, especially the Red Bean flavour~ the Miso soup is not as salty as you may find in other restaurants, a lot of miso taste~ the salad is very fresh and dressing is special as well~
