Meet the owner

When owner Alan Voves set out to build a restaurant, his mission was to establish a place he would also enjoy. “One of my favorite dining experiences is a great glass of wine with a very tasty burger. I wanted people to come to my restaurant and enjoy the same things,” says Alan. And that’s what you get here - a menu of gourmet burgers, and a drinks menu that has an extensive list of premium wines by the glass.

But that’s not all you get at The Burger Cellar. They’ve made certain to cover all their bases, food-wise, so that if you’re not a burger fan, there’s still plenty of choice for you. Delicious salads, a great vegetarian burger, and a host of other burger-alternatives make a trip to the restaurant a great dining experience for everyone.

Made a reservation online, probably a good idea, heard it was a busy spot. We were late for our reservation but they honored it. And it was packed. I had the special, can't remember the type of beef but it was one of the best hamburgers I've ever had, and the poutine was also amazing. My girl had the turkey burger and sweet potato fries and she loved it. We also had the Pickle Fries (good) as a starter and two pints of beer, bill with tip was around $80. Its expensive, but enjoyable and delicious.

    Great Burger Place!

This is a really good place when you just want a good burger! The menu features 5 or 6 different burgers with a choice of Angus, Organic or Kobe beef. Its a good place for kids too (the macaroni & cheese is awesome!) Really good, quick service and really good food. We've been there twice in the past 2 months and its been great both times. We'll definitely go back!

    Mouthwatering burger joints in Toronto

The Burger Cellar does burgers well, but in a sit-down, have-a-glass-of-wine with-your-meal way. It gives you options on the type of meat you want your burger made from — natural AAA Angus, prime or organic bison — and then you can go with one of several flavour combinations or create your own from the vast list of additional gourmet toppings. The whole experience is very midtown.
