Today,I visit this restaurant and I eat delicious food and i saw serving also very good.I like it.May be I will be come back again very soon in this restaurant to eat delicious food.
Delicious Food, Great People, Good Atmosphere
We were advised by the person to have a buffet. We did. We end up by eating pakora only. We tried the chicken, the bones were literally black and taste bizarre. We left the food in our plates.we payed $75 (3 adults at $17 each and one kid $6 + tips ). Stay away. We informed the person who was serving about the chicken and explain to her that it's a serious matter.
I think the biggest facet of this restaurant is the absolutely amazing location it is situated in. Situated at the scenic beauty of Niagara Falls, it truly serves as a romantic hideout to many including me and my wife. The food is equally amazing. Strongly recommended to all!
I have had the privilege of tasting the most authentic and amazing Zabiha Halal at this restaurant. They are simply amazing when comes to serving mouth watering delicacies at amazing prices. Highly recommended to all!
The foods being served here are surely awesome!!! Thank you so much for the foods that you guys have catered!!! I am fortunate enough to be one of our customers!!! I would recommend all and sundry to at least taste food once here!!! You are sure to feel the difference!!!!
We live in Toronto and come to Niagara Falls once a month to visit Niagara Falls Casino. I have been coming to This restaurant for over 6 months. I can honestly say they serve the best Chicken TIkka when compared with any where in Toronto. I tried most Indian restaurant's in Ontario. Sometimes I think my addiction isn't casino it is Passage to India.I would go there again and would recommend everyone to try their Chicken Tikka.
I had dinner at this restaurant on April 15th, 2012 with my family. Restaurant food very delicious and service was great. I was recommended this restaurant by a friend of mine. Dinner buffet had great variety of vegetarian items and non-vegetarian items. They didn't have much variety of dessert in the buffet, but overall buffet food was excellent. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to have good Indian food.
I am not Indian or Pakistani. I am Caucasian and I love Indian cooking. I have enjoyed excellent meals in London England and spent 9 months working in Brampton, ON so I have tasted many styles of Indian cooking. Passage to India may not be over the top with Indian charm, but if you want good food prepared very well, it is worth a try. The Naan is generally excellent, as is the long grain pilau basmati rice. The lamb curry is delicious and the management has refrained from using deboned lamb, which, in my opinion, makes for a much tastier meal. The vegetable dishes are enjoyable too. The service has always been friendly and attentive, in my experience. The buffet menu is not as extensive as other places I have been, but restricting the items ensures a quicker turnover of food and, consequently, fresher food. As far as price is concerned, if you want to go to Toronto, Brampton or maybe Hamilton, you can find lower prices and better selection. In this Niagara area I don't think you will find a better, more reasonable Indian buffet. I hear there might be some good places over the river (USA - Buffalo) but I don't need the hassle at the border, thank you very much! 2011-03-14
Visited this place while on vacation in Niagara. Was recommended on the list of restaurants handed out by the Hilton so figured we would check it out being a group of voracious Indian food eaters. Was abit apprehensive at first judging by the fact noone mentioned it was a Buffet Only place till we arrived. Luckily had made a reservation in advance so wasn't one of the unfortunate ones who were requested to wait outside till a space was available. Food was well received by the group and we were all well impressed. A definate group of return customers.
Great food - Loved it and will definately go back!!!
There were several option of vegetarian and non-veg. Naan was very fresh. It was the best naan i ever ate outside India. Waiter was polite and friendly. Reasonable rates. I would love to go back to this retaurant when i go to Niagara Falls again.
Being of Indian origin ourselves, we saw this restaurant and thought 'why not?'. 'Why bother' would be more appropriate! The customer service was terrible. The waiter showed us to our table and we had to wait nearly 20 minutes for him to give us the menu and place our order. He even told us that they had no menu until the manager advised him otherwise. As with other restaurants, we were not asked if we would like drinks or told anything about what they offered. As for the food, the Thali was tasteless with no flavour to it. It was served in a tacky plastic tray!!! My wife had to serve herself!! The buffet which I tried was awful. The lamb curry and chicken curry was horrible with no flavour and the vegetarian dishes were poor. It was a dreadful experience. The washrooms were smelly and not clean and there were curry stains on door outside the washrooms. The staff here seemed to lack any knowledge of Indian food and need a real lesson in customer service!!! We would never visit this restaurant again!!! One to avoid!!!
I work at Convergys in Welland and Passage to India provides food for our Diversity Dinner each December. We loved their Butter Chicken (Chicken Makhani) and Lamb curry so decided to try their buffet. The food was great. The Tandoori chicken was mild and there were several options for vegans and veggiephobes alike. Complimentary baskets of Naan are brought hot from the oven. Would have liked more options as I like to experiment but its a tiny place (12 tables) and they can only fit so much. The decor is not going to give you that "authentic" feel you may be craving, but the food is well worth it.
We visted this restaurant in May 2008. Vegetarian food was excellent. Best Panner tikka masla i ever had in my life. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who love vegetarian food.
One of the best meals I've ever had: succulent, beautiful, and perfectly cooked. Serivice was excellent.
Me and my 2 kids with my hubby really enjoyed dinner buffet at Passage to India. Food was mild, not too spicy. Buffet had lots of variety. I can't wait to go back.
This place was alright, very friendly service. Lacked the "feel" of going out for dinner, no music playing, felt almost cafeteria style. Too much cilantro in the food which ruined it for us.
Restaurant was very neat and clean. Service and food was excellent. Food was worth every single penny.
Passage to Nowhere; a.k.a Passage to India, was a horrible experience for myself and my 3 guests. I agree with the person who stated the Naan bread was the only food worth paying for. As an Indian myself, this restaurant is a pathetic excuse and an embarrassment to represent the Indian Cuisine. The food was tasteless and bland, with very little variety. The service was far below standard. We had to shout at the nonchalante waiter, who was sitting at a far table reading his paper, for water, food identities and drinks. To cap it all off they overcharged us for the Kulfie dessert, saying it was $1.99 when it was charged as $2.99. Buyer Beware! I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone, nor would I EVER go back there again!
