The Puddicombe House was built in 1868 by Samuel Merner, businessman, Member of Parliament, and Senator. The house was purchased by Robert B. Puddicombe in 1888 for $4,500.00 and was owned by the Puddicombe family until 1969. At that time it was converted into a six unit apartment building.
Beautiful resored Victorian Home Inn. We stayed here for two nights while visiting Stratford and St Jacobs. The restaurant is fabulous an amazing porch with dining. I had homemade pasta with sausage and capers. My wife had the marlin special. Both were tasty and cooked to perfection with amazing presentation. For desert we shared the Flourless Chocolate Cake. Enjoyed a bottle Pinoit Grigio with dinner. Wonderful night.
Stopped by for the burger and beer special and I think I have found my new Tuesday night spot and favourite burger.
Its a beatuifully restored Victorian home down off the highway in the charming little town. We sat out front on the amazing patio. The huge curtains around the porch offer shade and gives it such an elegant feel.
The burgers are juicy and full of flavour, with a cold beer to match...yummy mill street too. We wanted a few more condiments for ours but still super delicious. Super service to match too.
