We are a one stop shop there is no sub-contracting involved we do everything ourselves, from the machine that digs your pool to the person that shows you how to run the pool when the installation is complete. On average it takes us about 7 - 14 days to complete an inground pool and we install an aboveground pool in one day. Worst service ever! Workers did not hook up the pump to a hose to drain water from our pool, AFTER we had payed over $300 dollars to close it for the winter. As a direct result of this, the water flooded our neighbour's yard - 12 inches deep, 12 ft wide. Our neighbour called Shelin and also informed us. Amy refused to speak to us and took no ownership of the problem. The customer service reps accused us of lying. If I could give zero stars, I would. Save yourself aggravation and go elsewhere.
Shelin has been our pool company for over twenty years. Always excellent service. had them repair an old liner and later install a new one. Friendly and good service. I prefer to have Bob find holes in the pool rather than Josh but, hey, everyone has their own style.
Dont do it. There are other companies. No communication between owner and customers during construction. His number not given out but he is only one who can make decisions. No accountability for property damage. Some of the guys are very talented. Most of them are not and not too friendly either. Call the office and all you can do is leave a message for Amy because she is too busy for customer service but nobody else can answer questions. Nightmare
Where to begin? Above ground pool installed. Crew got here and had no idea what they were doing. Were rude to me because they were annoyed by the job (guess the boss didn't explain it). Their dump truck broke so put all the fill in the middle of yard then proceeded to scoop it up later that day and totally ruin our grass (didn't respond when complained) left cigarette butts and tims wrappers all over, pool had a leak...and 1 year later our pump isn't working with no help from them.
We recently had an above ground pool installed. I agree with the other reviewer they are professional until they cash your cheque and then they can't be bothered by you. They don't stand behind their product, they are very disorganized and rude. I feel so disappointed because we thought we did our due diligence in researching pool companies because that is a lot of money for us, but in the end we still got screwed! I would NOT recommend this company!
Don't be fooled by the first review. Remember - two sides to every story. My husband and I purchased a full in ground pool from Shelin 9 years ago. Dwayne and Amy were amazing. Always willing to help and offer solutions. Other than regular maintenance, to date we have had zero problems with the pool. Over the years we have recommended Shelin to friends and family. They too are happy with the product and service. I'd hire Shelin without hesitation.
Once they have your money the customer service stops!!! beware they do not stand behind what they sell. Having a serious problem and they just tell you to get lost.
