Great English Pub Food. Everyone at our table ate everything and had positive things to say about the food. The waitress got my order wrong but made things right.
I went with a few friends and high hopes. Our server was slow and arrogant. She got her back up and was very rude and condescending whenever we had a question or concern.
Our food came out looking sloppy and tasting poorly, beer came out with dirty glasses and barely cold.
The pub itself wasn't bad but the food was disappointing and our server was an absolute disgrace.
Beef sandwich was alright, nachos were stale and cheap with the toppings. Fish and chips are the only thing that got them 2/5 for food and not 1/5
I will make a point to NEVER return here and to let everyone I can know about my experience.
I very much enjoy eating and hanging out at Ye Olde Squire. The pub atmosphere is great to go hang out for wings and drinks. We always shoot a few rounds of pool in the side room after our meal while watching sports on one of their many TV's. You can even enjoy live music on weekend nights. Great wings, especially Monday and Tuesday's 2 lbs for the price of 1! I definitely recommend Squires to my friends and co-workers.
Welcome to super fail!!! they ran out of chili , ICE COLD roast of pork, and plastic pizza, never again!!! our part left after that Horrible food they served.

The absolute worst place to go in Hamilton by far. I have been there a few times, and each time it just kept getting worse. The food each time was just swimming in grease, drab decor, and I won't even mention the service...there is none. It's just a bunch of kids that snicker at you behind your back. I couldn't even give my dog the leftovers at home. She would get sick from them. No way would I go back!
I've never had a bad experience here. The food is tastey and reasonably priced. The servers are always relaxed and competent. It's a great place for pitchers on the patio and unwinding after work. :)
Ordered onions rings with my meal at a $2 extra charge - when I asked for the dipping sauce that comes with them was told I had to pay extra for that. The owner said "You pay for what you order nothing is free the extra charge is for the rings not the sauce and if you don't understand that there is nothing I can do - I have been here 30 years and I don't care what you think." I wonder had I ordered a salad instead of fries would I have been charged extra for dressing?

I have to agree about the service, however, as it is pretty bad. Once the orders are in, it seems the waitresses just want to stand and talk to the bartender or just dissapear from the main room altogether.
I recommend the Wings, especially on Tuesday cheap nights, and you MUST get a basket of Chips as the perfect compliment --smothered in salt, pepper, and malt vinegar of course ;)

This was my first experience dining in squires- but I'd heard for a long time that it was the best pub around. My husband and children came with me for a first time family experience. The waitress was very friendly, and gave our children the same attention. The food was fairly quick (but it was packed- so it was understandable not to be rushed out to us). The food was delicious. My husband rates the wings the best around!
It was so nice to have a waitress who took the time to talk to us, alongside serve us!

Am usually really scared to eat in pubs but their food was quite good. Best chicken wings around and super friendly staff. Went in for breakfast, quite good but no pancakes ot french toast!
Great wings.Nachos were chewy and lacking of cheese.Good selection of draft but, tasted flat and warm, the replacement bottle was not much of an improvement.Service was slow to say the least.
I would order wings for take out next time.
