I've eaten at the Jet Cafe since it opened, the food is not bad (some dishes are great, some not) the service is basically the same (some servers are quite dumb, some quite adept). I like the atmosphere and the big screen tv with the remote anyone can grab is nice if you want to watch something with your breakfast or lunch. All in all the place is unique in that area of downtown and they deserve kudos for even having the cajones to open a restaurant at that location when they did. I will continue eating there.
We regularly wander over for breakfast on the weekends---can't beat the price and although we always order the same thing (regular breakfast) the homefried potatoes are always delicious and plentiful, the eggs correctly cooked, the bacon/ham/sausage very good and the toast just fine--I like rye and they offer it! Coffee is not a bottomless cup, but good quality. Not much ambiance--huge TV dominates the space--but Jet Cafe is its all about a hot, yummy breaky for me.
