The food was absolutley amazing and the service spectacular. I eat sushi about three times a week and this place is now my favourite. The service was excellent. Food was fast, service fantastic and ambience is authentic. Highly recommended
Decor: waiters (all female) dressed in kimonos, very kitschy decorations. Looked like a Disney movie.
Food: miso soup extremely salty, sushi pcs small and looked like they had been sitting out for a while, tempura soggy, salmon sashimi still had skin, teriyaki sauce overly sweet. Very disappointing, considering price.
Menu: Did not allow ordering sashimi a la carte!!!
Service: The only thing not ordered off the lunch menu (the Alaska rolls) was made incorrectly not once, but twice. First they forgot the avocado, then they remembered the avocado but forgot the tobiko (which they sprinkled on and sent back).
Price: Overpriced. As an example, a set of rolls that normally goes for $7 cost $9 and $3 more if you wanted to upgrade from 6 to 8pcs.
Summary: I would never eat here again. It felt like a trap for people who don't know that you can get better sushi with a better selection for a better price (in a setting that doesn't assume your only idea of Japan is based on Hollywood) pretty much anywhere else in Toronto.
