I left six seat cushions for recovering in mid-December, and they were finished before Christmas as promised. The price was reasonable, and we're pleased with the quality of the workmanship. I'm taking another project to him today !
I dropped off a small chair with only two panels to be re-upholstered..The owner of the business and the one that physically is the one that re-upholsters the furniture tells me two weeks tops. He seems like such a nice man and makes the time to show me everything he will be doing and helps me pick out a expensive leather to use. Two weeks, one day later I call the owner to see if the chair I dropped off is complete and he says no. He promised it would be done the first of the next week. The first of the next week I drop in to pick up my chair...the owner is there working but not on my chair. My chair is still sitting where I have left it untouched. He promises me a few more days and I leave. I decide to call him this time and set a pick up date and when that time rolls around I show up and the owner is nowhere to be found. I call him and he gives me the most terrible of excuses. He again promises me two more days and gives me a pick up time and says sorry for being so unprofessional. I go two days later excited to pick up my chair and again, it has only been ripped apart. The owner is again nowhere to be found. This time the owner wont answer his phone and I have now called him 15 times.....I paid owner for the material and work already......I got screwed. Don't use this company!
I am 61 years old and suffered a heart attack at the time of this job. I have been an upholsterer for over thirty years. Unfortunately my health problems caused a few inconveniences. Although all of my other customers understood that I was ill and not able to work my usual schedule I suppose this person did not know that I was sick. I am truly sorry for any inconvenience.
