The Great Wall Restaurant invites you to their establishment. They are open nightly all week and are readily reachable by car. Appreciate your dish at home thanks to their delivery service.
I have eaten at the Great Wall on many occasions, and have always walked away very satisfied with my experience. Patrick and his staff work hard to provide the highest level of customer service and create a great guest experience. The food is amzing and I would highly recommend their Sze-Chaun Shredded Beef, if you like something a bit spicy.
Chinese take-out is also another popular option, but there are a lot of sub-par locations out there that don’t mind taking your money in exchange for their “just alright” food. Thankfully, The Great Wall offers a very tasty Chinese food option, at prices that won’t break the bank. Located downtown on Bedford Row, The Great Wall is open to 10pm every day, and is a quick and delicious option for take-out Chinese. If you’re looking for a couple of different food dishes, get one of their filling combination plates, which are a steal at only $9-$13.
Since 1984, the ever-popular Great Wall has been dominating downtown Halifax's Chinese food scene. Voted the best in the city by readers of local alt-weeky The Coast every year since the category began in 2002, its vast Cantonese and Szechuan menu, spearheaded by veteran owner Patrick Wong, is diverse enough to agree with anyone's palate. But it's the hefty dim sum lunches that keep regulars coming back. If you're there on a weekend, get there early, because it fills up quickly.
