Our family usually goes across the street for Christmas dinner but this year they were closed so we decided to try Haro. We were not disappointed in fact this will be the new family tradition . The meal was classic with a sophisticated twist and the portions were extremely generous . The service was lovely and the kitchen staff were calm and professional from our vantage point . I have no hesitation about recommending this restaurant to family friends and clients . What a delight !
We did not have a good experience at this restaurant. When we arrived, the first question was about whether we had a reservation or not. That's fair, but the tone of the hostess made us feel unwelcome. It took a good 30 minutes for a burger and chicken club to arrive! People around us who were seated after we arrived got their meals before we did. Why?! We noticed! After such a long wait, there was no acknowledgment of the wait or any apology.
The location next to the water is fantastic and the value for money was great. I really liked focus on regional wine and local food.
