TATTOOS – I own a private licensed and Fraser health certified studio in Chilliwack BC. I am currently booking appointments for $80/hour. BIOGRAPHY Born in 1983 and raised in Ottawa, Ontario, Robyn had an early love of the arts, despite of never having any formal training or fine art schooling. Her childhood dream was to illustrate medical textbooks and she was always fascinated with skulls and the human body. After settling down in British Columbia and starting a family, Robyn decided to pursue her dream. In July of 2014, on the wall in her kitchen, next to her children eating breakfast at the table, she started her series of large scale medical illustrations and has been going strong ever since. She has been published in over five art reference books and magazines and has been involved in multiple exhibits around Vancouver.

ARTIST STATEMENT I have always felt most at home with a pencil in hand, drawing medical illustrations from my father’s old biology textbooks. I find the beauty in contrasts with graphite powder and charcoal. I like to show that there can be a soft side to what is usually so hard and strong, like bones. I like to bring what’s hiding underneath to the surface and make you face what’s hiding. I tone down the graphite to bring emotion to the piece or adjust the scale to increase the dramatic effect.
