My friend recommended this place, and I had read about it in a magazine as well, so I decided to try it out.
I love pulled pork sandwiches. I hadn't had any in over a year, so I was pretty desperate, and my standards were probably not high. Still, the pulled pork sandwich was only decent. The meat and bun weren't really moist, even with the BBQ sauce.
The things on the BBQ platter were the usual: ribs, chicken, etc. These things were also just decent. I didn't enjoy the very small sides of beans and coleslaw, but the mashed potatoes were well done. Also, the BBQ sauce was good, though not amazing.
You had to go up to the counter to order, like a fast food joint. Other than that, service was okay. Atmosphere was nice, with photos of famous blues performers.
I'd go here again to test it out, because maybe I didn't come on the ideal date. If it turns out to be the same, I wouldn't recommend the restaurant.

Smoky, tender meats paired with cornbread and comforting sides are often ordered to go – just as they would be from the great barbecue stands of the south – but can also be enjoyed in the cozy seating area. The pulled pork bun is a must-have, as is the hulking and mouth-watering Memphis Feast platter.
