Sage Restaurant at the Marriot River Cree Casino invites you to their establishment. They are open late from Tuesday to Sunday and are readily accessible by car.
While I don’t normally associate casinos with fancy food and elegant surroundings, that is exactly what is happening here in this huge space just outside of the city. Sage has a famous chef, a well-curated menu and a lot of class – making it a special occasion restaurant, for sure. Their steaks are exquisite, as is their crème brulee. And, since not many think to check out this space for anything other than VLTs, you don’t need a reservation for the dining room.
While a lot of people go to River Cree Resort & Casino to gamble, I go for a sure bet — the steak at Sage. It’s juicy. It’s big. It’s worth the drive out to Enoch. The filet mignon is the size of a baseball, and the beef striploin is succulent without being too fatty. The fantastic steak and elegant atmosphere are why Avenue magazine awarded Sage honourable mention in their Best Steak category in 2013.
At the Kitchen Buffet and Bistro, located in the River Cree Resort and Casino, celebrate 2017 with a New Year’s Day buffet, which includes a fresh gourmet waffle bar, an omelet station, turkey benedict stuffing, salmon wellington, red snapper, pork loin stuffed with apples and sundried tomatoes and more. For dessert, indulge in a gourmet display of dessert squares, cheesecake, tarts, donuts, cupcakes and deep-fried pudding. Brunch is $35.95 per person and $15.95 for children aged six to 12.
